What is Community Currency?
Twelve years ago, Paul Glover taught us how to create our own community currency. He developed a currency called HOURS, which was used to pay workers for their time and labor.
To this day, we still create community coins. You see hundreds of them every day while trading memecoins. And this—this is a community currency in its own right. $CC
Paul Glover's HOURS Project
His first and most successful project was called HOURS — a pioneering community currency that brought people together through mutual support and shared value. Inspired by his work, we took the exact principles Paul Glover used to build HOURS and applied them to the world of crypto.
We didn't just create a token — we built a movement. Using his approach to grassroots economics and community empowerment, we developed a digital version of a community currency: the Community Currency, or CC.
CC is more than just another token. It's a tribute to the original spirit of local value exchange, reimagined for the blockchain era. Among the sea of memecoins and speculative assets, CC stands apart — a true leader among community-driven tokens.

We set out to honor Paul Glover and his visionary idea of community currencies. That's why we created the one and only official Community Currency — $CC.
